Pradosh Vrat 2022: According to the Hindu calendar, Pradosh Vrat is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is observed during Triodashi Tithi, which is observed twice a month. Devotees believe that by observing Pradosh Vrata religiously, one can please Lord Shiva. The first Pradosh Vrat of 2022 will take place in the month of January and this time the Triodashi date of Shukla Paksha which falls in the posh month will come on Saturday 15th January. Because the day will be Saturday or Saturday. The fast will be known as Shani Pradosh fast.

Importance of Pradosh Vrat
Pradosh Vrat, which falls on a Saturday, is usually observed by devotees who want to conceive a child. Apart from that, fasting on this day brings happiness and prosperity in life. Devotees keep this vow to please Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, it is said that the grace of Shanidev is also received.
Worship of Pradosh Vrat
On this day, devotees wake up early in the Brahma Muhurat and bathe in the Ganges. However, for those for whom it is not possible, they can also add a few drops of Ganga water to their regular bath water. Worship begins with offering water to Lord Surya, also known as ‘Surya Arg’.
After this, the devotees pray to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati, recite Shiva Chalisa and chant mantras. Fruits, flowers, incense, akshat (rice), bhang, dhatura, milk, curd and Panchmarit are offered to God. The pooja is concluded by Aarti. Apart from this puja, devotees fast all day long.
