WhatsApp Recently announced a new feature that allows users to add up to 512 participants to a group. Now the company is working on a new feature that will allow participants to leave groups silently. According to WABetaInfo, the feature is currently under development and is expected to be available for beta testers with future updates.
Currently when you leave a group, WhatsApp chat shows a system message informing all participants that you have left the group. The report indicates that once a feature has been rolled out, only information about your exit from the group will be visible to the group admin.
According to the screenshot shared in the report, you will see a pop-up before leaving the group that will let you know that the admin will know about your exit. “Get out of this group? The pop-up reads that only you and the group admins will be notified that you have left the group.
Apart from this, WhatsApp has also confirmed that it will soon bring a community feature in the app. For those unfamiliar, the community feature on WhatsApp will enable people to bring different groups together under one umbrella with a design that works for them.
Users can receive updates sent to the entire community and easily organize small discussion groups on what’s important to them. Communities will also have new tools for admins, including controls on which notification messages are sent to each and which groups can be included.
WhatsApp has also recently released the same message reactions that are available on Instagram and on Facebook Messenger. This feature allows users to respond to messages. All users have to do is tap and hold the message they want to respond to and then drag their finger to the appropriate emoji. Feedback appears below the text and is visible to all members of the group.
