According to reports, Tony Storm has left WWE. The 26-year-old asked her to leave the company just days after she got into an argument with Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s title during the show’s Christmas Eve edition last Friday.

The story surrounding WWE is that a New Zealand professional wrestler requested her release, and it was granted. Combatant And PWIinsider. Storm recently participated in a triple threat match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at a live event in Washington, D.C., and booked her flight home on Wednesday morning.

After being drafted into the main roster this past summer, in the Survivor Series, Tony Storm represented the Blue brand in the women’s elimination tag team match. She was recently involved in a blue brand feud with SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair.

The New Zealand-born wrestler first began working with WWE in 2017 for the early May Young Classic. She then signed with WWE a year later and participated in the WWE UK title tournament event. She won the May 2018 Young Classic at the All-Women’s Evolution Pay-Per-View.

Just last year in the United States, Storm was called for a major NXT brand. The 26-year-old entered SmackDown on July 23 with a win over current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion Queen Zelina Vega.
