Tony, Nota Score 15, No. 10 Arkansas Beats Little Rock

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark .: AuDiese Toney and JD Notae each picked up 18 points to lift No. 10 Arkansas, leaving Little Rock 93-78 behind on Saturday.

All but Tony’s points came in the first half, with Arkansas (8-0) taking a 15-point lead at the break. Notte took possession of the Razorbacks in the second half, gaining all but two of his points to stop the rally attempted by Little Rock (4-5), who went 18-8 to start the second half.

Knott, the SEC’s leading scorer this season with an average of 18.1 points per game, shot 6 out of 10 in the second half efficiently and his 3-pointer with 3:47 left left Arkansas two points behind for good.

The other three players in Arkansas were in double figures: Davo Davis (16), Chris Likes (14) and Stanley Umud (12).

Marco Lukic led all scorers with 23 points for Little Rock, while Isaiah Palermo added 17 points and game-high 10 rebounds.

The Razorbacks shot 57% off the field, beating Little Rock 48-26 in the paint.

Big picture

Arkansas: Only one opponent has really been blown away from start to finish this season, but the speed and balance of the razorbacks has shown to be as good as indicated in last year’s Elite Eight Finish.

Little Rock: The Sun Belt was selected to finish in the middle of the pack and saw the episode on Saturday.

Now the next

Arkansas: Host Charlotte on Tuesday.

Little Rock: Hosts Missouri State on Wednesday.
