The superhero film that recorded the highest advance booking sales has registered as the second biggest opening film of Hollywood in India. According to reports on boxofficeindia.com, the film had an impressive collection of an estimated Rs 35 crore on Thursday.
With this, the film has now overtaken ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ to become the second most popular Hollywood opener in India. ‘Infinity War’, released in 2018, has an impressive Rs. 31 crore was opened. It was dropped by ‘Avengers: Endgame’ which grossed a stunning Rs. 53 crore.
After ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, ‘War’ and ‘Thugs of Hindustan’, ‘Endgame’ is still one of the most openers in India.
According to reports, ‘No Way Home’ box office numbers are expected to rise, once the final figures for all sectors come later today.
The film grossed about Rs. 35 crore. Out of this amount, he earned approximately Rs. 16-17 crores.
The film is also reported to have recorded the third-highest advance after ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’, both of which have been global smash hits.
Statistics show that ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ will surpass Bollywood release ‘Suryavanshi’ to become the highest grossing film of the year at the Indian box office.
On the global front, the film is also said to be breaking records and becoming the first billion dollar film of the post-epidemic era.
