Bengaluru: Arjun Deshwal Shone as bright Jaipur Pink Panthers Hit me U Mumbai In 44-28 Pro Kabaddi League On tuesday.
The young rider scored 17 points to help Jaipur Mumbai leapfrog on the points table and become a favorite for the playoff spot.
Mumbai missed many chances to ‘all out’ over Jaipur and it bothered them in the second half.
Their raider Ajit Kumar Super 10 (11 points) scored.
Mumbai started the match on the front foot with their Raiders Abhishek Singh and Ajit Kumar in good form. Ajit gave his team an early advantage by scoring a super raid of 4 points in the fourth minute.
But at the other end, Arjun Deshwal easily got the points. The former Mumbai raider got bonus points easily as Fazal Atrachali and his men took a cautious approach.
Lacking tackles, Jaipur, who were playing without Deepak Hooda in the opening 7, were able to slowly take control of the match.
His defenders, especially Brijendra Singh in the right corner, also chipped in with tackle points to help him get out with 4 minutes left.

Mumbai dominated with their defense in the opening minutes of the second half and now Arjun Deshwal has improved. A 2-point raid by Ajit Kumar gave them a chance to get out but Jaipur was countered by Brijendra Singh.
He built a spectacular 3-point super raid to keep Jaipur in the ascending position.
Ajit Kumar again made a 2-point raid but Brijendra followed him and made another good raid. In the 10th minute of the half, Nitin Rawal made a super tackle to help Jaipur open a 4-point lead. Pawan TR built another super tackle as Jaipur mini-revived and opened a healthy lead.
With 5 minutes left in the match, Arjun Deshwal’s 3-point super raid gave much needed control to Jaipur. He won the Super 10 as Jaipur did another ‘all out’ with less than 2 minutes left. This gave Jaipur a 9-point lead and snatched away Mumbai’s chances to equalize.
Arjun Deshwal’s 5-point super raid in the final minute meant that Jaipur extended their lead to 16-points. A big margin in victory will help Jaipur in the race for a place in the playoffs.
