“From the next FTP cycle, the IPL will have a two-and-a-half month official window so that all the top international cricketers can participate. We have held discussions with various boards as well as the ICC,” Shah said in an exclusive. Interview with PTI.
The PCB feels that the matter needs to be discussed.
“The ICC board meeting will be held during the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham in July and will probably discuss the issue there,” a PCB source said.
While the PCB is happy to see the money coming into cricket, the BCCI’s plan to fully book the top international players for the IPL every year could have an adverse effect on the international bilateral series, a PCB official said.
The PCB official added, “Mr Jai Shah has said that the BCCI is committed to international bilateral cricket, but with the expansion of planning for many leagues and the IPL, this should be discussed between the cricket boards.”
For the first time since the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, Pakistani players have not been included in the IPL auction.
While many Pakistani cricketers played in the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League, but since then, they have not been included to be part of the cash-strapped league nor can BCCI play any bilateral series with Pakistan. Border relation.
