Nortj, Parnell returns for South Africa’s T20 India tour Cricket News

Cape Town: South Africa have recalled the fast bowler Enrich Nortj And allrounder Wayne ParnellAnd gave the batsman his first Twenty20 international call up Tristan StubbsFor a five-match tour of India starting June 9.
Nortje, 28, returned to the team after being ruled out of the home series against India and Bangladesh earlier this year due to a hip injury. He has proved his fitness for Delhi Capitals in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Parnell, 32, is back in the T20 set-up after five years away and was also recently spotted in the One-Day International team after a long absence.
Stubbs, 21, has been rewarded for good domestic form this season, which earned him a surprise call at the Mumbai Indians camp for the IPL.
“Tristan Stubbs is an exciting prospect and we’re excited to see what he makes,” said the selectors’ convener. Victor Mpitsang Cricket said in a statement from South Africa on Tuesday.
“The country can also join us in a collective breath of relief after the return of Enrique Nortje, who has been working hard to recover from the traumatic injury.”
With the series starting more than a week after the 2022 season ends, South Africa will have the rest of their IPL squad available.
“The injection of IPL players means that we will have a team that will be ready to fire on all the cylinders immediately and have vast experience in the conditions in which we will play,” said the MP.
The tour will start in Delhi and end on June 19 in Bengaluru.
