Jurassic Express defends their championship, former IMPACT star appears

This week’s episode of AEW Rampage on Friday night came from PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was seen defending his tag team championship against Jurassic Express’ John Silver and Alex Reynolds of The Dark Order. As the battle between The Super Elite and Best Friends raged, Adam Cole was placed in front of Trent. Meanwhile, Red Velvet, Chris Statlander and Leila Hirsch faced Penelope Ford, The Bunny and Nayla Rose in six women’s tag team matches on the women’s roster.

Adam Cole vs. Trent Beretta

The AEW frenzy began with a confrontation that ended with the defeat of Cole Trent. Brit Baker, Red Dragon, The Young Bucks and Brandon Cutler all appeared in Adam Cole’s corner as part of a supergroup.

Andrew Everett vs. Sean Spears

Shawn Spears topped the match against Andrew Everett where former IMPACT tag team champion Spears of the Pinnacle. Andrew Everett looked solid at first but he was short-lived. Shawn Spears immediately grabbed him and pinned him with a C4. During Spears’ post-match promo, fans chanted “Wardlo”.

Chris Statlander, Red Velvet and Leila Hirsch vs. Penelope Ford, The Bunny and Nayla Rose

The main objective of the fight was to escalate the ongoing feud between Leila Hirsch and Chris Statlander. As a result of their tension, The Bunny and Penelope Ford cast Leila Hirsch, and The Bunny and Nyla Rose eventually defeated Red Velvet, Chris Statelander and Leila Hirsch.

Jay Lethal challenged Ricky Stark

Jay Lethal’s promo was thrilling as he paired it with a wonderful piece of music that reflects Randy Savage’s classic theme. According to Lethal, Stark was more concerned with his attire than wrestling. Lethal then challenged Ricky Stark’s FTW Championship.

Jurassic Express beats John Silver and Alex Reynolds

The AEW World Tag Team Champions struggled early as Jungle Boy and Alex Reynolds got off to a very good start for their teams, but the Jurassic Express quickly took over. In the end, the Jungle Boy hit a ringside to remove Silver, while Lucasaurus pinned Reynolds to retain his title.
