Jehan, who remains part of the Red Bull Junior team, is a three-time F2 winner and has made 12 podiums in the category, including five top-three finishes in six rounds this season alone.
He aims to be the first Indian to win a Formula 2 title this season.
So far, there were only two drivers in F1 in India – Narayan Karthikeyan and Karun Chandok.
