The in-form Jaipur Pink Panthers, who have already beaten the top two teams, will try to keep the juggernaut rolling when they take on Tamil Thalaivas in the Pro Kabaddi League here on Sunday. The Pink Panthers have beaten top teams Patna Pirates and domineering Delhi Casey in their previous matches. Thalaivas, on the other hand, had a demoralizing defeat against the Bengal Warriors, but their impressive defenders are looking to turn things around against the former champions.
In the second match of the day, Pawan Sehrawat, who is in red-hot form for the Bengaluru Bulls, will be hoping for another win when his side collides with the Patna Pirates.
Due to the lack of a good secondary rider, Jaipur failed to improve Arjun Deshwal’s riding performance in the opening season. But with Deepak Hooda moving forward, he suddenly appears to have a well-balanced side capable of challenging the top teams.
Hooda has the third highest number of raid points in PKL history and showed why he is considered the best with Super 10 against Patna.
However, both will face separate battles against Thalaivas’ Surjit Singh and Sagar.
The strength of the Tamil team has been in their defense and it is important that they do not hesitate against the Jaipur attackers. The South Indian team’s own riders had a disappointing night against Bengal and they will be aiming to come out of this defeat.
The Bengaluru Bulls, meanwhile, have been working in top gear in the last few matches in which Sehrawat has easily won the Super 10. This will be the biggest concern of Patna Pirates and coach Ram Mehr Singh, especially as Mohammadreza Shadloi is looking colorful.
Sehrawat is known for targeting the left side of the mat so cover defenders Sajin C. And Neeraj Kumar will need to be at the top of his game to support Shadlui in his tackle.
Bharat’s rise as a top all-rounder has intensified the Bulls’ attack, which also has Chandran Ranjit.
Prashant Rai, Monu Goyat and Sachin’s Patna Riding will all have more responsibilities. The Pirates’ good start to the season has been largely due to their unity and all-round performance.
