ISL: FC Goa held to a 1-1 draw by Odisha FC Football News

FC Goa came out stronger from both sides after the break. However, against the run-off play, Odisha equalized. Jonathas made the most of his physical prowess as he bundled the ball into the line after Nandkumar caught a deflected cross from the left side in the 53rd minute in defense of Gours.
Odisha continued to build momentum with goals and almost took the lead in the 72nd minute.
The second cross from the left, this time from the substitute Aridai Cabrera’s boot, saw Dylan Fox hitting his own goal crossbar as the OC cleared his lines. Liridon Krasniki was first in the rebound. However, Evan Gonzalez moved his shot off the line to keep the game level.
The final phase of the game was shown to be a killing spree by both parties as it became an end-to-end affair.
And it was Odisha who had the best chance of the game as Jonathan drew a tired Goa defense before playing in Krasniki on the left. The Malaysian was looking to turn the ball into a goal but was stopped by a superb diving by Dheeraj Singh.
The Gours will return to action on December 29 when they face their former head coach Juan Ferrando and Atik. Mohan Bagan. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
