FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup 2022 schedule announced, India will play in Bhubaneswar


FIFA and FIFA U-17 Women’s Local Planning Committee (LOC). The world Cup India 2022 has officially announced the schedule of the biennial youth tournament and Bhubaneswar is all set to host India’s group stage matches starting October 11, with Goa being awarded both the semi-finals. The schedule further states that the 24 group stage games will end on October 18 and the matches will be shared between the three host states – Odisha, Goa and Maharashtra. The quarter-finals will be played on October 21 and 22, followed by the semifinals on October 26.

Host India will take part in all the three group stage games on 11th, 14th and 17th October 2022 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. Meanwhile, the four quarter finals will be shared equally at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai and the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda, Goa. Sports

A total of 32 games competed by 16 teams will decide the winner of the seventh edition of the biennial youth tournament on 10 match days, with each venue hosting a double header on match day. All the participating nations are now eagerly awaiting the official draw on June 24 to find their way to lift this prestigious trophy in Navi Mumbai.

Following the successful FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017, which broke FIFA’s record of being the most attended youth World Cup ever, India 2022 is carrying a positive legacy.
