FIFA chief Infantino may meet PM Modi next month to discuss Indian football | Football news

Kolkata: President of World Football Governing Body Gianni Infantino May visit India next month and meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi To discuss the way forward for Indian football.
This was disclosed during the All India Football Federation’s executive committee meeting.AIFF) here on Monday.
Infantino’s visit, if it happens, will coincide with the final stage FIFA Women’s Under-17 World Cup to be held in the country from October 11 to 30.
“At the beginning of the meeting, the members were informed that FIFA President Mr. Gianni Infantino may visit India in the last week of October to meet the Hon’ble Prime Minister. Shri Narendra Modi To discuss the way forward for Indian football,” AIFF said in a statement issued after the executive committee meeting.
“The (AIFF) president also briefed the executive committee about the discussions with the FIFA president and the possibility of him meeting our prime minister, which will be updated once scheduled,” AIFF secretary general said. Shaji Prabhakaran.

This was the second Executive Committee meeting of the new administration chaired by the President Kalyan Chaubey and General Secretary Prabhakaran.
