Carlos Tevez Rosario debuts as coach in Central Los

Former Argentine soccer star Carlos Tevez began his coaching career on Friday with a 1-0 defeat at home to Gymnasia y Esgrima La Plata.

Tevez, who has a reputation as a striker for Boca Juniors, Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus, took over as head coach for Rosario Central, a popular team in Santa Fe province several days ago. Which has left them at the bottom of the league.

“I enjoyed it so much, it’s a new feeling that I lost as a player and it all came back to me as a coach today,” Tevez said at a press conference despite the defeat.

The “Canala”, known as Central, showed signs of improvement from previous losses in its first game under Tawez. The club came close to striker Lucas Gamba’s score in the first half.

In the second half, after a long pass from Uruguay’s Brahian Aleman, Gymnasia got off to a goal in the 79th minute when it came to Paraguay’s Ramon Rosa, who scored an easy goal.

The game was played at the Gigante de Arroyito Stadium in front of about 40,000 fans, who, after the defeat, were divided between applause and disapproval.

“I like the team, I am proud of my players. We have to continue on this path, we are sure this is the right path, “Tevez said after the defeat.

“I am always to blame when we lose. Although people have left sad, I believe this is the right way to go, “he added.
