The WWE SmackDown featured a packed match card last night. In the closing segment of SmackDown, there was a bloodline fight between Drew McIntyre and RK-Bro. This was the last chance for The Bloodline to show they were favorites in Sunday’s six-member tag team match at WrestleMania Backlash.
Earlier in the show, Shinsuke Nakamura confronted Sami Zain in a mouth-watering encounter.
Here are all the highlights of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in UnionDale, New York.
Alia vs. Charlotte Flair
The show begins with a match between Alia and Charlotte Flair. Flair took revenge on his mind as Alia beat him in the Beat the Clock “I Quit” challenge last week.
Before the match began, a vengeful Flair attacked Alia, causing a nasty brawl. Officers had to come in and separate the two and as a result the segment came to an end.
Sasha Banks Vs. Shayna Bezler
This was a legitimate preview of the upcoming bout for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. Shayna came to the top as she beat Sasha Banks by pinfall.
Drew Gulak Vs. Gunther
Gunther beat Gulak from the start in the match. As the match progressed, he bombarded Gulak and folded it. Gunther eventually recorded a nice victory by pinfall.
Tables Match: New Day Vs. Shimos and Ridge Holland
Last night, a new chapter was written between New Day and the never ending feud between Sheamus and Ridge Holland’s team.
In a brutal table match, two teams beat each other.
But in the end, due to Butch’s interference, Sheamus and Ridge Holland defeated Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Sheamus and Holland took Woods off the table with the help of Butch, seen below the ring.
Shinsuke Nakamura Vs. Sami Zen
It was a very competitive match in which both the wrestlers were seen fighting like hell. In the end, Nakamura was down and Zen realized he had a chance to win. As a result, Zayn immediately rushed to beat the count, winning by count-out.
RK-Bro, Drew McIntyre and The Bloodline Face-to-Face
Drew McIntyre and RK-Bro continued to intensify their never ending fight against The Bloodline. This segment was to create hype for a marquee six-man tag team match at WrestleMania Backlash.
After a brawl between the two teams, The Bloodline managed to get a few blows. But RK-Bro came back and drove Usos out with RKO. Drew McIntyre landed Clamor on Roman Reigns to close the segment. It can be said that The Bloodline WrestleMania is not a favorite to win backlash.
