AIFF DC accuses KBFC’s Jorge Pereira Diaz of ‘violent conduct’

Kerala Blasters FC player Jorge Perera Diaz has been charged by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) disciplinary committee with ‘violent behavior’ in the 2021-22 Indian Super League (ISL) match, league organizers said on Wednesday.

The incident took place during Kerala’s match against ATK Mohun Bagan on Saturday at the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Goa.

Diaz, who was out in the 85th minute of the match, was already cautious. Argentina were then shown a direct red card for their actions on the substitution bench.

“In a charge notice issued by the AIFF body, Pereira Diaz has been found guilty of violating Article 48.1.2 of the AIFF Code of Conduct. Said.

As a result of his dismissal, Diaz will automatically face a one-match ban at the end of the day against Hyderabad FC in Kerala Blasters FC’s next assignment.

The committee has given Diaz until February 24 to submit a response.
